Foggy Swamp

Ah, a  foggy swamp with a lake reflection.   Adirondack area again, it has so much to offer.  Going for mood here.  Black and White can really give it the extra touch for mood.  Enjoy.

Storm On The Lake

A picture from Adirondack Park. There were storms moving through with times of mist and grey skies. I pushed the colors with filtering to get this somewhat unusual contrast of sky and water.

Evening at Lewey Lake NY

Just hanging out after dinner, I noticed great colors and some mist on the lake.  It was a warm evening for May up in the Adirondacks.  I went down to the launch with my tripod to try and capture what I was feeling from the view.  This is a panorama composed from 6 individual shots.

Wild Turkey debate

Today while shoveling snow, I heard the great Turkey Debate up in the woods behind the house.  There was a rafter of gobbler turkeys having some sort of  disagreement.
They were so into the fight that they let me get a few pictures of them before they felt they needed to move on.

Winter and Woodpeckers

Winter is a time of year that it's hard to find a lot of picture material.  You really have to look hard for something beautiful and available.  I love birds, watching birds and taking pictures of birds.  So my first bird picture of winter is this lovely Red-Bellied Woodpecker.  This guy is noisy but fun to watch.  Hope you enjoy this fine specimen.

Memories of Trees

It was a beautiful sunset at my parents home.  The glow in the birch trees and the quiet that come around in October.   This is the memory of a night in the fall of  2009.
This particular image of the trees, the glow and the quiet are quintessential in my memory of my mom who left us April 24, 2010.   May you be present in my memory of trees.

Begining and End

This picture is in honor and memory of  Doug.   This picture could be a sunrise or a sunset.  The time in between  is what counts.  We need to take the time to live the day and help others and grow to be the best we can be in whatever aspects that may be. Namaste: "I honor the spirit in you in which is also in me."
